Responsibilities
Provides constructability and technical design input on temporary works construction designs to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory requirements
Designs and drafts construction methods for temporary works (falsework, shoring, temporary bridges, formwork, slopes, etc.), ensuring completeness and accuracy with regulatory standards and within the contract specifications
Reviews personal and peer design elements to optimize project constructability, cost effectiveness and material quantities
Submits design for peer review or approval review in an accurate and timely manner to avoid construction delays on the project site. Senior engineer or manager to seal designs following approval review
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or related Engineering field required
Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) required
Knowledge and skill in technical writing for clear and efficient communication
Knowledge and understanding of constructability and construction practices
Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize work
Verbal, written and interpersonal skills required
Preferred
Professional Engineering License (PE/PENG) preferred
Internal Training Crane level I and II preferred
Knowledge of AutoCAD, RISA suite, LARSA and MathCAD are a plus
