Organizing and arranging sterile instruments and supplies

Collecting and removing contaminated items at completion of cases

Assisting circulating nurses in maintaining adequate stock of sterile supplies

Working collaboratively in a family-centered peri-operative environment

Qualification

Surgical Technologist certificationCardiovascular OR experiencePediatric experienceDiploma

Required

High School Diploma required

1 year of OR experience as a Surgical Technologist

A certificate from a Surgical Technologist program

Employment as Surgical Technologist in a surgical facility on or before July 1, 2013, or Individuals who have completed a training program for surgical technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the United States or in the United States Public Health Service in lieu of a certificate from a Surgical Technologist program

Preferred

Associate's degree preferred

1 year of cardiovascular OR experience preferred

Pediatric experience preferred
