Traffic Engineering Intern
Dewberry is a leading professional services firm seeking a Traffic Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to join their Transportation Group. The role involves working under the direction of a licensed professional engineer on various traffic engineering projects, including design and studies related to traffic signals, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and safety analyses.

Responsibilities
The individual will have the opportunity to work under the direction of the licensed professional engineer on all facets of traffic engineering to include design and studies related to traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, work zone traffic control, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Connected and Autonomous (CAV) vehicle technology, roadway lighting, traffic operational analyses, and safety analyses
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering required, with emphasis in transportation
Experience using CADD (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred
Previous internship experience preferred
