Responsibilities

Learn and Educate: Tellers must maintain high levels of product/services knowledge so, in-turn they can educate members and prospective members on such products and services
Interact: Tellers interact with members and prospective members, specific to deposit and loan accounts. Since these interactions are in-person, creating a pleasant experience for R.I.A. members are vital. Interacting with the branch team and being present for meetings and continuing education with be an important factor to the success of a Teller
Perform: Tellers will perform banking transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, transfers, and various other financial transactions. A teller must be able to assist in branch opening and closing procedures which may include processing checks, night drops, or stocking supplies
Uncover and Refer: As a not-for-profit financial institution we have a responsibility to uncover opportunities to improve the financial well-being of those we interact with. The most important characteristic of a successful Teller is their ability to find these opportunities and convert them into success for our members. Should opportunities arise to help a member with an additional product or service, the Teller should be referring this to the respective teams to act
Compliance: A strong understanding and adherence to compliance is a requirement for success as a Teller at R.I.A. Must follow safety and security rules and regulations. Maintain the security of your work area and keep it organized and neat in appearance
Balance: An ability to balance and handle cash in a safe and secure manner is important

Required

Minimum High School graduate or GED, required
Tellers must maintain high levels of product/services knowledge
Tellers interact with members and prospective members, specific to deposit and loan accounts
Tellers will perform banking transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, transfers, and various other financial transactions
A strong understanding and adherence to compliance is a requirement for success as a Teller at R.I.A
An ability to balance and handle cash in a safe and secure manner is important
