20+ years exp4P Consulting Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Designer with over 20 years of heavy industrial and power plant design experience. This role involves leading complex design packages and ensuring compliance with industry standards through detailed design and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Develop and produce 3D models and detailed design drawings for structural steel, reinforced concrete, and ductwork
Prepare layouts, conceptual designs, and material takeoffs to support cost estimates and project planning
Review vendor shop fabrication drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications
Conduct site walk-downs for field verification and constructability assessments
Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines, clients, contractors, and plant staff to ensure seamless project execution
Prepare clear, concise, and technically accurate drawing notes and documentation
Qualification
Required
Technical degree in Design, Drafting, or Engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum of 20 years in structural design, specifically in heavy industrial or power generation projects
Proficient in AutoCAD with extensive 3D modeling and drawing creation experience
Strong background in steel and concrete detailing
Knowledge of applicable codes and standards
Strong technical writing and documentation abilities
Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple design packages
