Responsibilities

Monitor activities on job sites to ensure compliance with relevant contract documents (e.g. technical specifications, construction drawings, sampling plans, CQA plans etc.)

Prepare daily field reports, weekly field reports, & progress reports

Ensure project documentation is correct and consistent with company policy & procedures

Conduct geotechnical field investigations

Monitor heavy civil construction projects

Perform and review engineering calculations

Perform dam, levee, and CCR facility inspections and assistance with evaluations

Develop construction documents; and

Write and review engineering reports

Fieldwork: Up to 90%

Overnight Travel: Limited, if based in Nashville. The intended project site is local to Nashville. However, other opportunities requiring travel may become available

Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering, or geology

At least 5 years (7+ years preferred) of work experience in engineering consulting; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Regular field work and overnight travel

Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing

Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel

Candidates must currently hold and maintain valid U.S. work authorization. New H-1B visa lottery and employment based green card sponsorship are not available for this position
