Project Engineer - Utilities

Dibble Engineering is a civil engineering firm that provides a full range of services to public and private sector clients. They are seeking a Project Engineer for their Tucson, Arizona office to prepare detailed design drawings and contract documents for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, while also leading small teams and managing project schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

Prepare construction plans, technical specifications, technical studies and reports
Lead/Organize/and Manage small teams of personnel (EIT, designers, and drafters)
Provide quality reviews of own work and work by EITs/designers
Assist project manager in preparing and managing project schedules and budgets
Attend and participate in client meetings
Assist in developing marketing proposals (prepare technical understanding and approach)
Assist in construction administration of projects, including reviewing and responding to contractor material submittals, RFI's and change order requests
Evaluate company practices and provide input for continuous improvement
Participate in the execution of Company strategic plan
Represent the Company at industry events and conferences

Required

Must have a B.S. degree in Engineering, Civil preferred
4-6 years of relevant experience preferred
Registered Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in Arizona or the ability to obtain registration within six months
Must have a valid Arizona driver's license or be able to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license within 3 months of start date
Experience using engineering design and office software, including AutoCAD Civil3D, MS Office and others
Ability to mentor and train CAD Designers and Engineers-in-Training
Strong technical writing skills, and ability to convey engineering decisions and concepts to non-technical and technically based audiences
Ability to work within a variety of team environments, including varying team sizes and personnel
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality
The ability to consistently meet project deadlines while always maintaining a high level of quality
Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the project team including Clients, technicians, engineers and subconsultants

Preferred

Experience in master planning and sewer and water rehabilitation is a plus
