Responsibilities

Manage an average of 15–20 patients daily on a teaching service incorporating resident and general medicine patients

Lead bedside teaching rounds each morning and conduct afternoon huddles with resident teams to foster educational development

Provide high-quality inpatient care on a telemetry-equipped, high-acuity floor with a closed ICU unit

Collaborate closely with residents, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, case managers, and nurse managers to ensure seamless, patient-centered care

Utilize Allscripts/Sunrise Clinical Manager EMR for accurate documentation and efficient patient management

Engage in academic activities by mentoring and developing medical trainees, contributing to a culture of continuous learning

Partner with 12-hour hospitalist colleagues to ensure proper cross-coverage, rapid response, and code team coverage

Participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with hospital safety and clinical excellence standards
