Senior Actuarial Analyst

Responsibilities
Collaborate with other ISO/Verisk divisions (Actuarial Operations, Analytic Data Management, Compliance and Product Services, Government Relations, etc.) to maintain, enhance, and develop personal property products that respond to the current market, competitive, and technological landscape, and integrate them into ISO's various Personal Property programs
Work toward becoming one of the key ambassadors for your line of business and its products.Conduct research on new modeling techniques and new data sources to help support and enhance our current products and develop new products. Drive quality results and customer focus into everyday operations
Support our products by responding to customer and regulatory inquiries; providing expert advice to customers; and developing marketing material, publications, and other documents to support such efforts. Build and maintain a network of contacts within and outside Verisk to keep up with market trends and customer needs.Along with other special projects, this position will provide support and analysis for rating bureaus
Be part of the team that leads the innovation and update of personal property insurance programs in response to the changing business environment. Analyze market, industry, competitor, legal and regulatory trends and use these to provide actionable insights that drive the business of both the company and its customers. Occasional travel required for industry conferences, customer visits, etc
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
Strong Excel skills required
Programming skills or willingness to develop programming skills required, particularly SQL, Python, R, SAS and/or other programming languages are a plus
2 years or more of insurance analytics experience desired (personal property experience preferred)
Knowledge of market, industry, customer, competition, etc. desired
Strong record of building great internal or external customer relationships that focus on innovation, product improvement, or ease of use
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including presentation skills
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
2 CAS exams with commitment to attaining CAS membership is essential to the role
Preferred
Additional relevant education or degrees are a plus
Predictive modeling and/or data analysis experience desirable
Product development experience and experience working with customers desired
