Responsibilities

Research, outline, and write a full-length manuscript (50,000–75,000 words) on healing after church hurt from a biblical perspective
Weave together theology, Scripture, encouragement, and practical application with sensitivity to readers’ struggles
Incorporate stories, examples, and applications that resonate with those who have been hurt by church experiences, leaders, or community, emphasizing Christ’s care and the possibility of restoration
Collaborate with the editorial team for feedback and revisions
Ensure theological alignment with The Daily Grace Co.’s doctrinal commitments

Required

Bachelor's degree required
Understanding of covenant theology
Strong grasp of biblical theology and how all of Scripture points to Jesus
Personal experience with struggles related to church hurt, with the ability to write authentically and pastorally about those challenges
Familiarity with how church wounds intersect with mental and emotional health (e.g., grief, mistrust, relational tension, anxiety)
Ability to make deep theological truths accessible to a broad audience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with the writing and editing process
Organized and self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines
Comfortable with collaborative writing and constructive feedback

Preferred

Master's degree preferred (studies in theology, Bible, English, humanities, journalism, or counseling/psychology preferred)
