Responsibilities

Provides support to the supervising licensed neuropsychologist by performing neuropsychological testing in the form of administration and scoring of standardized objective tests

Assist with research activities related to brain function and cognitive disorders

Required

A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, preferably with a major in psychology

Passing grades in college courses in abnormal psychology, personality, psychological statistics, and psychological testing/tests and measurement

Completion of a course in Psychological Test and Measurement

Completion of a course in Individual Tests of Intelligence taught in an accredited undergraduate program

Passing grades in the coursework specified above for technicians who have completed degrees with nonpsychology majors

Demonstration of training and instruction in the numerous areas that pertain to the role as a technician as established by the Arkansas Psychology Board

Ability to perform in a safety sensitive position

Ability to work in a normal clinical and hospital environment

Close eye work

Hearing of both normal and soft tones

Ability to sit for long periods and assist in patient mobility if necessary

Frequent standing, walking, reaching and bending

Lifting or moving up to 20 lbs, occasionally
