Rhodes Convenience Stores is seeking future leaders who are passionate about hospitality and team development. The Manager in Training will undergo an extensive training program to learn how to run a convenience store, focusing on guest service, sales, financial control, and team management.

Responsibilities
Knowledge of and use of Mission Statement and Core Values
Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service
Assist general manager in offering suggestions on how to achieve the budgeted sales and maintain budgeted gross profit
Assist in controlling shrink, expenses and payroll
Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing, and assortment; ensure sales items are adequately stocked within assigned store
Review store trends and recommend changes for maximizing goals and objectives
Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, and accurate completion of paperwork associated with cashier reports, payroll, and other miscellaneous items
Continually evaluate and communicate performance issues to the general manager, and actively recruit employees
Train and develop Customer service employees; direct and monitor training and development for employees
Ensure store is clean neat and meeting the expectations of Rhodes 101
Like everyone else, we must include additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
1 year retail and or restaurant experience preferred
Complete training program
Food safety certified
Knowledge and skills in leadership, ethical conduct, and performance management
Ability to utilize active listening, verbal and written communication, active learning, complex problem solving, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work as an integral part of a team to achieve financial goals
Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
Ability to think on your feet and learn new things simultaneously
Ability to roll with the punches when things change
