Responsibilities
Conduct boundary, cadastral, hydraulic, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys/staking for public and private projects
Perform fieldwork using GPS, robotic total stations, and other survey equipment to collect and analyze data accurately
Prepare and review survey maps, legal descriptions, plats, and reports ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Process survey data using Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D
Collaborate with engineers, architects, developers, and government agencies to support land development, infrastructure, and construction projects
Interpret and apply zoning laws, subdivision regulations, and property records to determine land boundaries
Review and verify survey calculations, data analysis, and mapping accuracy
Qualification
Required
Licensed Professional Land surveyor in Montana (PLS)
Have a valid drivers license and insurable driving record
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
Experience with technical software such as AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Carlson Survey and Civil 3D etc
Excellent organization and written/verbal communication skills
Proven ability to multitask and manage project workload, deadlines, and clients effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
3+ years of experience as a licensed PLS preferred
Associate's degree in surveying or equivalent from an accredited post-secondary institution is preferred
