Responsibilities
Documenting current copper and fiber connections in network data closets, including Updating Excel spreadsheet information on a per closet basis
Using laptop and label printer to create labels for fiber patch panels and fiber cables
Notifying Director of Enterprise Infrastructure of any issues of concern
Light cleanup of debris in network closets
Cable management cleanup
Qualification
Required
Visual acuity to read existing labels
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including OneDrive, Teams, Excel, and Word
Understanding of fiber cabling (single vs multimode), cable connector types (st, sc, lc, mpo, rj45, etc), and possess ability to trace cables which are in use
