Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, individualized, and small-group instruction for students with disabilities, as outlined in their Individualized Education Service Programs (IESP)
Ensure fulfillment of each individual student's weekly IESP mandates and keep an intervention schedule coordinated with the school schedule
Develop and submit quarterly progress reports and maintain regular family communication with updates on progress and upcoming steps
Record service delivery and student performance in Knowledge Road's system with precise and timely documentation
Develop and execute engaging and effective lesson plans that meet the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of each individual student
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students
Monitor and assess student progress, offering regular updates to families and school-based teams
Participate in IESP meetings as required, providing expert insights and recommendations to support student achievement
Qualification
Required
Valid NYS Students with Disabilities (B-2, 1-6, 7-12, or All Grades) or NYS Literacy Specialist
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Must not have been employed by NYC DOE within the last 12 months
Experience teaching Mathematics and ELA
Dependable transportation
NYC DOE fingerprinting status/approval is required, or willingness to complete prior to start
