Responsibilities
Identifying defect location
Identifying root cause of the defects
Provide recommendations for improvements
Review sand testing data
Monitor sand preparation process
Data mining for process changes and scrap information
Perform sand testing in a lab setting to determine our current and preferred sand properties
Assist with setting up and maintaining the process books or other electronic information needed for the digital transformation project
Qualification
Required
Be enrolled in a four year technical program related to the foundry industry
This position will require extensive computer use
Individual must be proficient with computers
Preferred
A good working knowledge of foundry sand and sand testing
A good working knowledge of casting defects
