8+ years expNordson EFD, a global leader in Engineered Fluid Dispensing, is seeking a talented Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their product design team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical hardware for electro-mechanical systems used in precision fluid dispensing and advanced manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design of electro-mechanical actuators, sensors, machined/molded/sheet-metal components and overall packaging on our products taking it from concept to production launch
Work with external vendors and partners to develop new engineering analysis methodologies, optimize designs and augment internal capabilities
Independently perform tolerance analysis, run FEA and create design of experiments using scientific methods
Create design verification and validation plans, oversee execution of tests, analyze results, debug failures, and implement corrective actions
Qualification
Required
8 years' experience in electro-mechanical product development
Strong analytical skills and engineering fundamentals in solid mechanics, materials, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, mechanism design (using 3D CAD Solidworks), and manufacturing processes
Expertise in running and analyzing FEA/CFD
Have creatively and collaboratively solved problems with experience in failure analysis, root cause investigation, Design of Experiments and FMEA
Ability to craft clear engineering documentation (2D drawings, standard operating procedures, ECOs)
Strong communications skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with a global team
Bachelors in Mechanical engineering
