Jr. Project Engineer

Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager with planning, budgeting, scheduling, and documentation for civil construction projects
Support daily coordination of self-performed operations, including grading, utility installation, and paving
Track quantities and perform field measurements for progress and billing purposes
Review project plans and specifications to identify discrepancies and support RFI/submittal processes
Help manage material procurement, subcontractor coordination, and job site logistics
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure work aligns with schedule and quality expectations
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting notes, RFIs, change orders, and cost tracking logs
Collaborate with field supervisors, superintendents, clients, and vendors to resolve issues as they arise
Promote and enforce job site safety practices in alignment with company policies and OSHA standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
1–3 years of experience in civil construction preferred (internships and co-ops considered)
Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
Basic knowledge of civil site development operations such as earthwork, utilities, and paving
Proficiency in construction software such as Procore, HCSS, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Ability to travel to active job sites in Phoenix and Tucson as needed
Valid driver's license with a clean record
Preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus
