Semiconductor Inventory Analyst, Texas Institute for Electronics

Responsibilities
Monitor, track, and analyze inventory levels of semiconductor materials, components, and finished goods
Develop and maintain inventory reports and dashboards to track key metrics such as turnover rates, excess/obsolete inventory, and forecast accuracy
Collaborate with procurement managers, and engineering teams to align inventory levels with demand forecasts and production schedules
Conduct root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
Coordinate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and logistics providers to manage supply chain flows
Assist in demand forecasting, safety stock calculations, and planning buffer levels for critical components
Identify and recommend process improvements to increase inventory accuracy, reduce costs, and minimize stockouts
Support new product introduction (NPI) by aligning inventory needs with project timelines
Participate in regular cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliations
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to inventory control
Other related functions as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field or 5+ years of experience in inventory analysis, preferably within the semiconductor or electronics industry
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or data analysis tools
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and inventory management software
Understanding of semiconductor supply chains, lead times, and lifecycle management (preferred)
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-tech environment
Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
Preferred
Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing or distribution processes (fabless, foundry, IDM)
Knowledge of industry standards
Experience with demand planning and forecast basis operation
