They are seeking a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist who will produce diagnostic images using MRI equipment and provide patient care while ensuring safety and comfort during procedures.

Responsibilities

Review orders prior to the day of procedure to ensure accuracy and to avoid delay in patient care

Provide excellent patient care by educating and preparing patients for their procedure and MR safety while utilizing effective communication

Obtain and document accurate patient medical history to assist radiologist’s interpretation

Ensure patient comfort and safety for the duration of their procedure

Perform MRI procedures as required based on physician’s order

Perform complex tasks associated with the operation of MRI and related coils to obtain highest quality images of the anatomy being scanned

Start I.V., load and operate power injector, and administer contrast media as directed and per protocol

Completion of exam in hospital information system

Cleaning and maintaining all imaging equipment

May also assist with mentoring and/or training students, new hires

Required

Associate's Degree under the completion of a Radiologic Technology program Required

Certificate under the completion of MRI technology program Required

Magnetic Resonance Imaging - American Registry Radiologic Technologist or registry eligible (if eligible must obtain MR certification within 24 months of hire or transfer date) Required

Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire. Recertification every two year Required

Preferred

Minimum one (1) year MRI experience Preferred

Radiography - South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association Preferred
