Associate Vice President of Development, Partner Success

Strada Education Foundation is a mission-driven nonprofit organization focused on post-secondary student success. The Associate Vice President of Development will play a pivotal role in fundraising efforts to support coaching and training programs, aiming to raise significant funds to enhance educational and career advancement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Devise and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies (grant concepts, letters of intent, and proposals) aligned with the organization's post-secondary education & career development goals
Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, including foundations, corporations, and individuals
Build upon our foundation relationships to increase the frequency and size of donations
Identify and develop relationships with new funders
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate fundraising efforts seamlessly into overall organizational goals
Foster a culture of excellence and achievement in fundraising
Develop and implement organizational donor engagement strategies to enhance the donor experience
Ensure timely and meaningful stewardship of donors, recognizing their impact on our initiatives
Collaborate with the events team to ensure events align with the overall philanthropic strategy
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure marketing messaging and communications align with the overall philanthropic strategy
Track and coordinate formal funder reports, including mid-term and final reports
Work cross-functionally to ensure the correct information is being tracked and analyzed for each funder and initiative

Required

Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a focus on philanthropic gifts in the six-figure and seven-figure range
Experience with post-secondary education and career pathways and a passion for advancing educational and career opportunities
Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to articulate complex issues so they are clearly understood by a variety of audiences
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and time management skills, with significant experience in concept creation and proposal development
A firm commitment to equity in the workplace and the achievement of equitable outcomes for minoritized students/individuals
An ability to operate both independently and as a member of a high-functioning team as a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside of the organization
Bachelor's Degree required

Preferred

Master's Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
Experience working for or with a foundation/philanthropic organization that focuses on post-secondary education and career development
Experience with and knowledge of the higher education landscape and workforce development is a plus

Benefits

Plus an annual bonus (not included in the range stated above).
The organization also reviews and considers internal equity (current employee salary) when hiring new employees to the organization.
The range is the expected starting base salary for someone hired into this position with room to grow professionally, including increased earning potential beyond the starting pay range.
