Responsibilities

Mask components as required to protect surfaces from subsequent operations
Apply tape by hand on areas to be masked
Apply hard masking such as caps and shields by following documented work instructions
Trim masking using knives, razor blades, or other sharp tools. Trim masking in accordance with detailed work instructions to precise dimensions
Inspect work for completion and quality
Follow written work instructions accurately including work and shop drawings
Routinely use overhead cranes to position parts
Organize components staged in your department to support a more efficient schedule

Required

6 months – 1 year of experience with various types of masking. (Ex: Paint, Blasting, Autobody, Plating, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and follow work instructions and accurately document processes and findings
Some previous exposure to the use of measuring gages, such as micrometers and calipers and the understanding of basic shop math
Experience with the use of overhead cranes
High school or technical school graduate or equivalent
Basic knowledge of computers and standard software programs
Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Must be able to use hand tools and have good hand eye coordination
Ability to work independently and perform the job with minimum supervision
