They are seeking an Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry by working alongside various engineers and assisting in safety, payments, daily logs, and project compliance tasks.

Responsibilities
Assist and prepare in giving Tool Box Safety Talks, Daily Safety Huddles, and maintain records
Assist in Miss Utility requests to ensure no utilities are damaged during construction activities
Maintain the Project Safety Manual, make periodic jobsite safety inspections, and record file all findings
Perform daily Quantity Review with the Project Engineer, the Superintendent, and the Job Foreman
Enter daily quantities into internal systems and file daily sheets
Track completion of work on project plans
Perform monthly review of estimates with Project Engineers and Project Managers
Maintain the general correspondence file with correspondence logs
Maintain Shop drawing logs
Maintain subcontractor daily logs
Maintain delivery logs
Track all subcontractors that worked on the project for the month, utilizing the Subcontractor daily log
Enter and review daily payroll information by specific tasks, and assist in productivity tracking
Maintain Job Records
Track Job Codes using Phase Code System
Assist in preparing Request for Information (RFI’s) to the owner
Assist in the purchase of job materials to ensure the proper quantities are delivered
Assist in estimating additional work
Review project plans and assist in ensuring work is in compliance with project documents
Assist in developing project look-ahead schedules
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in Civil Engineering or Construction Management program
Interest in heavy construction such as site-work, roads, or environmental
