Senior Regulatory Project Manager

Responsibilities

Lead and manage regulatory, environmental, and permitting projects, serving as both project manager and technical lead
Coordinate the preparation of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) licensing, permitting, and compliance documents, ensuring accuracy and regulatory alignment
Facilitate agency and stakeholder consultations, including meeting coordination, documentation, and follow-up actions
Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope
Provide quality assurance reviews of technical and regulatory documentation, including environmental assessments, permit applications, and study plans
Mentor project staff and contribute to team development, fostering collaboration across offices and disciplines
Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, client outreach, and strategic planning
Communicate effectively with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary project teams, maintaining strong relationships through responsive and professional engagement
Ensure project compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., NEPA, Clean Water Act, ESA)
Contribute to organizational growth by promoting continuous improvement and sharing best practices in project and document management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Hydrology, Environmental Policy, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
15–20 years of professional experience in FERC licensing, environmental permitting, or NEPA-related work (consulting experience strongly preferred)
Proven experience managing complex regulatory and environmental projects, including natural resource studies
Strong technical writing and document management skills, with attention to accuracy and detail
Exceptional project management skills, including budget oversight, schedule management, and team coordination
Skilled in stakeholder communication, agency coordination, and conflict resolution
Proficiency with MS Office Suite; experience with GIS software is a plus
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment

Preferred

Master's degree in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Hydrology, Environmental Policy, or related field
Consulting experience in FERC licensing, environmental permitting, or NEPA-related work
