Director of Marketing and Communications

Cristo Rey San Diego High School & Corporate Work Study Program is dedicated to supporting equity in education and preparing students for success. The Director of Marketing and Communications will lead the marketing communications strategy to enhance the school's brand, manage digital content, and support fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Cristo Rey High School’s Admissions, Advancement, and Work Study staff to create and manage cohesive storytelling and marketing communications strategy, tactics, and budget for each department’s friendraising outcomes
Ensure that all internal and external marketing and communications materials are consistent and reflect Cristo Rey High School’s mission, vision, and brand
Manage the school’s website and social media accounts to drive targeted lead generation and increased interest and awareness of Cristo Rey High School
Collaborate on Cristo Rey High School’s annual giving program, including developing multi-channel campaign strategies and the accompanying direct mail, e-mail, website, and social media content to drive meaningful action
Use data analytics to evaluate marketing initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly
Track and manage the school's annual and capital campaign performance, and associated fundraising activities, highlighting key metrics and outcomes
Assist in special events, including fundraising, stewardship, and donor cultivation activities. These may include, yet are not limited to, campus tours, church visits, the annual golf outing, and annual giving days
Engage Cristo Rey San Diego’s faculty, staff, students, and volunteer leadership to strengthen donors’ relationships with the school
Write press releases
Help develop and guide messaging for our student ambassadors

Required

Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for study in marketing, communications, or similar field
One to three years in fundraising, communications, marketing, or a similar field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient graphic design capabilities
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude, relationship-building skills, a high level of self-motivation, and a strong work ethic
Competent in programs like Canva, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, WordPress, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and familiar with AI and customer relationship manager (CRM) systems
Passion for Cristo Rey San Diego High School's model, mission and values
Sensitivity to and respect for the socioeconomic, racial, and religious backgrounds of the student body
