Assistant Director of Student Transition Engagement Program (Transitions)
William & Mary Libraries is seeking an Assistant Director of Student Transition Engagement Program (Transitions) to support undergraduate students through various transition resources and programs. The role involves program development, communication, student supervision, and engagement with campus partners to enhance student experiences.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Director and campus partners to schedule, implement, and evaluate the Find/Form/Focus Your Experience Transition Series
Collaborate with various departments on campus to provide transition resources to students, including the semester Services-Outreach-Supports Fair, online student resources, and Welcome (back) Programming
Update and execute the distribution, analysis, and data dissemination of the New Student Inventory to ensure programs are data-informed and meet student needs
Manage allocated budget and work with the Director to solicit private funds, as appropriate, to help accomplish goals
Update and maintain the holistic Tribe Guide Checklist
Develop, produce, and distribute transition and support communication to students and campus partners in the form of newsletters, brochures, publications, social media messaging, and training materials
Recruit, supervise, train, support, and evaluate the growth of 1-2 graduate-level students
Recruit, hire, train, manage, and evaluate the undergraduate Transition Coach student leaders
Guide student leaders in strategies to impact the persistence and success of continuing students
Assist the Director with comprehensive student leadership development campaigns
Support and participate in signature STEP events, such as Convocation and the New Student & Family Welcome Receptions
Serve on campus-wide, Division, and/or Thematic Area committees
Participate in Divisional activities, including semester Kick-off Days and monthly Division meetings
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Experience (typically 2-4 years) with new student orientation, campus transition, and/or university persistence/retention programs
Working knowledge (typically 1-3 years) of community development, including program development, implementation, and evaluation
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred
Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, College Student Personnel, Counseling, or a related field
Experience working in an environment comprised of diverse students, families, and perspectives
Experience supervising undergraduate and graduate students
Experience collaborating with campus partners
Demonstrated skills in team development and event management
Working knowledge of VisualZen, Constant Contact, and/or other connected campus living, communication, and events technology
