Director - Center for Cybersecurity Education and Research

Shaw University is seeking a Director for the Center for Cybersecurity Education and Research who will lead the university's cybersecurity strategy and programs. The Director will be responsible for developing an online master's degree, managing employer partnerships, overseeing virtual labs, and ensuring accreditation compliance.

Responsibilities

Lead design and launch of an online cybersecurity master’s degree
Develop and manage employer-partnered boot camps
Secure NSA CAE-CD designation within three years
Build and sustain RTP employer partnerships and advisory board
Lead grant writing and revenue generation from programs and partnerships
Oversee virtual cybersecurity labs and simulations
Coordinate SACSCOC substantive change submissions for new programs
Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and instructors supporting programs
Manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships supporting delivery
Track outcomes: enrollment, completion, placement, and revenue metrics
Represent Shaw with industry, agencies, and accreditation bodies
Other duties as assigned

Required

Master's in Cybersecurity or related field required
Seven or more years in cybersecurity leadership, including grants and partnerships
Experience creating online programs or workforce boot camps
CISSP required
Must have a philosophy that is consistent with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of the organization
Strong oral and written presentation skills
Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
Excellence in the organization, decision-making, problem-solving, and creating a collaborative environment
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Must be able to read, write and speak fluently in English

Preferred

Experience with accreditation or NSA CAE-CD processes preferred
Ph.D. in a relevant discipline preferred
Additional certifications preferred: CISM, GIAC GCIH or GCIA
