IES Infrastructure is seeking a skilled Applications Engineer Power Generation with a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing engine generator power generation systems to ensure efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

Design and engineer natural gas engine generator systems, including mechanical and electrical system design and integration for stationary and mobile generator sets
Provide technical support for quote development
Support Sales by interfacing with customers to resolve technical issues and product questions
Conduct feasibility studies and performance analyses to optimize power generation efficiency and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power generation systems into larger infrastructure projects
Develop and implement maintenance and troubleshooting procedures to ensure ongoing reliability of power generation equipment
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in power generation to inform design decisions and improve system performance
Provide technical support and guidance to field service teams during installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities
Participate in regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring that power generation systems meet all applicable safety and environmental standards
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation to support project planning, execution, and regulatory compliance
Create and maintain product BOMs

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in power generation engineering or a related field
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles and practices
Experience with gaseous fired engines is required
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Regularly required to stand, bend and lift up to 50 pounds
Eye Protection consists of goggles, face shield or safety glasses
Steel Toe Safety Shoe/Boot required
Ability to travel and work overtime/weekends, as needed, to meet customer and in-house demands
All applicants must pass a background check and drug/alcohol screening and must have a clean driving record
