Responsibilities

Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks associated with the technical design and layout of civil/site systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities
Exercise engineering judgment for the development of existing conditions basemaps; reviewing subsurface utility information for coordination with existing and new facilities
Prepare exhibits, sketches, and other documents utilized for planning, permitting, and presentations
Prepare layout and design site development features, access roads, drainage channels, slop stabilization, retaining walls, detention ponds, and surface drainage
Prepare layouts and design of yard piping, force mains, gravity sewers, water mains, and storm sewers
Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections within the Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD MEP, and Revit
Work under the mentorship and supervision of a senior engineer
Willingness and ability to occasionally travel to sites throughout North America

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or other related field
Must have a valid U.S driver's license and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review

Preferred

Prior related intern and/or professional experience
Successful Passing of the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software
Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and commercially available engineering analysis packages
Detail-oriented while still able to understand/comply with the big picture/goals of a project
Ability to multi-task
Strong logic and writing skills
Documents time and effort accurately
Ability to work productively in a team environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
Flexible – can adapt to shifting priorities/work schedules
Able to work independently
Self-learner
Can take directions from others and in turn can guide others
