Founding Account Executive—Asset Manager/Sponsor Channel
Aqua is the operating system for wealth channel alternatives, building a platform for independent broker-dealers and financial advisors to invest in alternative assets. The Founding Account Executive will lead sales efforts into the Financial Sponsors channel, managing the full sales cycle and driving partnerships with financial sponsors.

Responsibilities
Own the entire sales cycle for asset manager/sponsor prospects, from prospecting through close; build and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities with financial sponsors; engage with C-suite, product, operations, and compliance stakeholders to uncover needs and align solutions; negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure long-term partnerships
Coordinate with BD channel sales team to consistently build relationships with and close financial sponsors customers; represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums; collaborate with marketing on campaigns and thought leadership
Partner closely with Customer Success team for demos and technical deep dives; work with Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and expansion of sponsor relationships; provide structured feedback from the field to inform product roadmap and feature prioritization
Qualification
Required
5–8+ years of B2B enterprise sales experience, ideally within financial technology, SaaS, or investment/wealth management solutions
Proven track record selling into private equity firms or similar financial institutions
Strong understanding of financial sponsor fundraising workflows—compliance, operations, reporting, and investment data
Consultative selling style, able to build trust and manage multi-stakeholder sales cycles
Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
