Senior Imaging Technologist - MRI Radiology North Liberty (2nd shift)
The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a Senior Imaging Technologist for their North Liberty department of Radiology, primarily focusing on MRI procedures. Responsibilities
Perform and teach specialized imaging procedures utilizing MRI imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam
Perform MRI procedures using a variety of complex imaging and patient monitoring equipment
Has knowledge of and applies MRI safety precautions to minimize or eliminate risks to patients, personnel, and equipment
Has knowledge and understanding of key Service Excellence principles for interaction with patients and staff
Establish rapport with patient and provide information about how the exam is performed and what is required of the patient
Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or other Allied Health Sciences discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Must maintain current certification in American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and/or other radiologic related technological certification and Iowa Permit to Practice as required by the State of Iowa for all technologists operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment
Preferred
Recent work or clinical education experience in MRI
MRI modality training
MRI certification or eligible
Work or clinical education experience in a Level 1 trauma center
