Responsibilities
Assist in the development and application of statistical methods to analyze data and solve problems
Support the design and execution of data collection and analysis plans under the direction of senior staff
Organize, clean, and summarize datasets using standard statistical software and tools
Contribute to reports, presentations, and documentation that communicate statistical findings clearly
Assist in validating data sources and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of statistical outputs
Perform basic modeling and forecasting to support research and operational needs
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to understand project requirements and deliver actionable insights
Stay current with basic statistical techniques and best practices
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of statistical software
Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow analytical and quality control procedures
Good written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field
Minimum 3 years direct experience with finance for an HQ level military entity
Experience working for or supporting the National Guard Bureau
At a minimum, a favorably adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) or an equivalent or higher investigation
Preferred
Experience or coursework in applied statistics, econometrics, or research methods
Internship or project experience involving statistical modeling or data analysis
