Responsibilities

Establish and enforce documentation standards, templates, and style guides aligned with FAA and federal requirements

Assist in the development and maintenance of technical manuals, user guides, training materials, proposals, and compliance documentation

Collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity experts, and program managers to translate technical concepts into clear, concise documentation

Particpate in reviews and audits of documentation for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with FAA regulations and federal standards

Ensure all materials comply with Section 508 accessibility requirements and FAA branding guidelines

Manage documentation schedules, track progress, and allocate resources to meet project deadlines

Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to writing staff, fostering a culture of excellence

Present status reports and documentation readiness updates to FAA leadership and program managers

Stay current on emerging tools, technologies, and documentation best practices, incorporating them into FAA processes
