BHN is currently seeking students for an Addiction Recovery Counseling Internship within their Carlson Recovery Center, where interns will gain hands-on experience in addiction treatment and support clients beginning their recovery journey.

Responsibilities

Learning the intake process, including screening, assessment, and orientation

Providing supervised case management and referrals for a small caseload

Assisting with treatment planning and providing psychoeducation to clients

Shadowing and co-facilitating psychoeducational groups and counseling sessions

Observing and supporting crisis intervention services

Learning clinical documentation practices including progress notes and reports

Collaborating with interdisciplinary providers to coordinate care

Building knowledge of co-occurring disorders and recovery-focused practices

Qualification

Required

Enrolled in a Bachelor's, Associate's, or certificate program in a related field

Preferred

Working toward CADC or LADC II certification

Familiarity with substance use and co-occurring populations

Professional, reliable, and eager to learn in a treatment setting
