The Robotics Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and support the vision of the Controls group, leading projects through software development, debugging, and installation phases.

Responsibilities
Develop robot programs offline
Check reach and interferences
Work with Controls Engineer to develop IO and Handshakes
Initialize Robots
Load your programs and supporting files
Work with Controls Engineer for PLC communications
Update Frames, Modify Positions
Step through programs manually
Bring robot up to speed in Automatic
Run at Rate on our floor for customer acceptance
Travel to Customer Facility once line is assembled on customer’s floor
Debug / Bring line up to speed
Run at Rate on Customer’s floor for Final Acceptance
Perform any additional reasonable tasks as required
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of PLC functions
Knowledge of Mechanical Design
Willing to learn cycle time analysis
Willing to learn Robotic Simulation (Roboguide / Robot Studio / Motosim)
Exposure to CAD
Able to read electrical drawings
Strong communication skills
Able to work in a team environment
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to interpret customer standards
Able to travel 30-40%
Preferred
Exposure to Fanuc / ABB / Yaskawa
