Responsibilities
Perform COMSEC changeover, equipment check, pick-up, issue, and destruction
Manage Type-1 bulk encryption and comply with COMSEC handling procedures
Store, handle, operate, and destroy key materials according to established protocols
Ensure compliance with DoDI 5220, NISPOM, and local SOPs for COMSEC handling
Maintain physical possession and continuous attendance of COMSEC material
Safeguard and transport classified information and material as required
Maintain two-person COMSEC integrity when handling equipment and devices
Ensure proper identification and destruction of scheduled KEYMAT canisters
Conduct inventory of all KEYMAT prior to storage container re-locking
Notify designated government personnel of any discrepancies or security violations
Qualification
Required
2-5 years' experience
Must possess Top Secret/SCI clearance
