Jet HomeLoans is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to support their tax function. The primary responsibilities include assisting the Tax Director with tax compliance, planning, and financial reporting, as well as coordinating tax filings and maintaining accurate tax records.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and year-end tax provision, including computation of book-to-tax differences, and state calculations

Assist with tax compliance and planning processes, including preparing workpapers and reviewing tax forms prepared by external service providers

Assist with managing and preparing property and sales tax filings and maintaining the tax calendar. Regularly coordinate with local divisions and external service providers to ensure efficient and timely filings

Research federal and state tax issues and prepare responses to tax notices from various taxing jurisdictions

Contribute to tax planning projects, special assignments and tax policies

Assist with tax-related data research and advisory on new legislation or transactions

Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements, streamlining procedures, and maintaining tax data records to enhance efficiency

Assist in maintaining effective controls over tax-related procedures

Build relationships with key members of the Corporate Office (Accounting, Treasury, Legal) and local divisions

Required

Bachelor's degree in taxation, finance, accounting or a similar field

4 years of public accounting experience (including ASC 740 and partnership tax)

Exceptional communication skills -- both written and verbal

Strong organizational skills and time management skills

Ability to collaborate and partner with various stakeholders
