Assistant/Associate Professor, Human Resources
Webster University is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Management to teach and lead programs in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, and Talent Development. Responsibilities
Teaching load is 3-4 courses at the graduate and undergraduate level (9–12 credits) per semester. Teaching formats include in-person, Zoom, and online delivery
Serve as the program lead for one or more programs: MA in Human Resource Management, MA in Human Resource Development, MA in Talent Development, Undergraduate Emphasis in Human Resources
Oversee the continuous improvement of courses and programs using assessment, quality assurance, and enhancement strategies
Develop innovative teaching methods and integrate applied, experiential learning where appropriate
Foster student engagement through advising, career mentoring, and involvement in internship and field experiences
Collaborate with businesses, non-profits, and government organizations to strengthen program relevance and student outcomes
Support curriculum development, monitor learning outcomes, and ensure compliance with certification and accreditation requirements (e.g., SHRM alignment)
Participate in student recruitment, orientation, and retention initiatives
Actively contribute to departmental, college, university, and professional service activities
Maintain active engagement in scholarly research or professional practice within the human resources field
Qualification
Required
