Responsibilities
Design of supports for architectural features and components
Metal stud framing design
Seismic anchorage and bracing of equipment and MEP distribution systems
Structural evaluation and retrofit design for TI projects
Extensive coordination and interaction with a variety of clients
Qualification
Required
A master's degree (preferred), or 5-year Architectural Engineering degree
Strong background in seismic design of nonstructural components per ASCE Chapter 13 and HCAI CBC Chapter A
3 to 5 years of professional engineering experience
Excellent verbal and written skills
Preferred
Solid analytical and detailing skills
Skill using 3D modeling programs such as Revit, AutoCAD 3D and Navisworks
Experience in construction administration
Familiarity with OPDs and OSPs for HCAI projects
Professional registration a plus
