Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

Contribute to the creation and implementation of engineering best practices to include planning, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
Monitor and evaluate the performance of the engineering team and provide feedback and guidance to drive functional excellence
Develop and maintain project plans and budget profiles to ensure delivery of milestones to agreed cost targets and timelines
Identify and justify capital equipment investment
Provide technical inputs to bids for new business and facilitate successful outcomes
Ensure accuracy of production engineering data and analysis documentation
Stay current and up to date on any technology changes that may affect manufacturing design and development and advise other of any impact
Ensure that the engineering processes and procedures stay in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors
Responsible to solve factory issues, coordinates operations, negotiates with and requests cooperation from other departments and external parties
Collaborate with other departments to create a company culture of respect, inclusivity, efficiency and safety

Required

Experience in leading and supervising a team of engineers
Knowledge of automotive components production processes
Ability to oversee design, development, testing, and implementation of engineering solutions
Budgetary responsibility experience
Experience in implementing and managing kaizen initiatives
Ability to create and implement engineering best practices
Experience in monitoring and evaluating engineering team performance
Ability to develop and maintain project plans and budget profiles
Experience in identifying and justifying capital equipment investment
Ability to provide technical inputs to bids for new business
Experience in ensuring accuracy of production engineering data and analysis documentation
Knowledge of current technology changes affecting manufacturing design and development
Ability to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies
Experience in solving factory issues and coordinating operations
Ability to collaborate with other departments to foster a respectful and inclusive company culture
