Sr. Field Sales Engineer-Access & Control (REMOTE)

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Field Sales Engineer-Access and Control to join the Data Center Power & Control Division. The role focuses on identifying, prospecting, and helping to close sales for the Raritan/Legrand Access and Control products while providing specialized expertise in related technologies.

Responsibilities

Engage in new account acquisition focusing on large Fortune 500 data center clients
Produce and provide detailed layouts and BOM for access and control designs
Meets with key customers and decision-makers to develop effective relationships
Meets assigned targets for revenue and profit for all targeted accounts and projects
Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs
Effectively manages customer accounts by fostering excellent communication both internally and externally, and through a strict adherence to channel rules of engagement
Provide regular updates to their leadership on the status and performance of customer accounts within the territory
Grow annual sales of the KVM Access portfolio
Utilizes and relies on SalesForce.com as the basis of communication for the sales organization
Effectively engages with the product management team to communicate new feature requests and market trends

Required

BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent trade certification credentials
10+ years of successful sales experience in Data Center Infrastructure
Experience working with TCP/IP networks, VLANs, and remote management tools and protocols
Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows environments including command line interface (CLI) tools for configuration and management
Strong problem-solving skills
Demonstrates a high level of accountability and ownership for overall goals and tasks
The SME must completely understand the client's data center infrastructure environment
The SME has a strong understanding of the data center white space, IT labs, and A/V environments
Has maintained a strong and long-term relationship with senior-level data center infrastructure Managers/Directors/VPs
Has a strong ability, inclination, and desire for new business 'hunting', prospecting, cold calling, and territory development
Outstanding communication skills and presence
Fluent and dedicated to CRM systems such as Salesforce.com
Develops solutions for both traditional and off-label KVM, serial console, and audio-visual environments
