Staff, Software Engineer – Global Governance
Walmart Canada is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their Global Governance team, where you'll lead a talented group of technology professionals. Your role will focus on building cutting-edge technology services to ensure seamless payment processing for customers and drive innovation in the Governance domain.

Responsibilities
Design and implement a comprehensive, platform-centric architecture that places artificial intelligence at its core, enabling seamless integration and scalability across multiple applications within the Global Governance domain
Lead small groups of six to ten engineers in software development and design, identifying short- and long-term solutions and timelines. Review and approve proposed solutions, implement new architectural patterns, and perform design and code reviews of changes
Maintain a pulse on the ever-evolving landscape of regulations and laws in Governance domain and ensuring that are cascaded down to the pertinent systems in Governance space with minimal changes
Demonstrate adeptness in managing multiple initiatives simultaneously, while upholding the highest standards of quality and efficiency
Prioritize operational excellence by continuously monitoring and optimizing the performance of systems to meet or exceed defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
Establish best-in-class alerting and monitoring mechanisms for application in governance domain, enabling proactive detection and resolution of issues
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area
6 years' experience in software engineering or related area
Preferred
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and 3 years' experience in software engineering
