Responsibilities
Study hardware and software trade-offs present in the latest version of our chips
Explore uses of both to solve real-world problems
Develop software models of important behaviors in hardware co-processors such as memory bandwidth and pipeline latency
Develop visualization tools to illustrate architecture behavior
Produce support tools to enable software to make efficient use of hardware co-processors
Deliver assignments on time and present findings at the end of the internship
Qualification
Required
Near completion of a master's degree
Strong interest in computer architecture, VLSI design, image processing, video compression, and computer vision
Experience in modern programming languages
Familiarity with C++, C, Python, Perl, and assembly
Ability to pick up missing skills quickly
Ability to deliver assignments on time
Ability to present work at the end of the program
Preferred
Exposure to common neural networks frameworks such as Caffe or TensorFlow
