Part-Time Lecturer - Public Budgeting and Financial Management

Responsibilities
Teach PPUA 6505: Public Budgeting and Financial Management at the Arlington, Virginia campus
Survey governmental budgeting at the federal, state, and local levels
Examine major revenue sources and expenditure responsibilities
Discuss budgetary processes and politics, and consider both proposed and implemented reforms
Introduce financial management practices including cash management, fund accounting, debt financing, endowment spending and control, cost allocation procedures, and tax expenditures
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Economics, Public Finance, or related disciplines is preferred
Advanced (masters) degree with significant professional experience in governmental budgeting, public financial management, or related fields may be considered
Experience with federal budgeting processes, congressional appropriations, or federal agency financial management is highly desirable
College-level teaching experience is preferred
Professional experience in government budget offices, GAO, CBO, OMB, or similar organizations is a plus
