Responsibilities
Ensure the ongoing stability, integrity, functionality, and evolution of the University of Maryland’s Aruba ClearPass system
Manage the implementation of the ClearPass platform, including service design and policy planning, service transition, service operations, and continual improvement
Work closely with Security Operations, Identity and Access Management, Endpoint Management, Platform Engineering, and Networking Engineering teams to deliver robust and reliable services
Translate requirements from various stakeholders into effective system policies that control access to network resources
Create and maintain documentation including design documents, diagrams, purpose statements, stakeholder requirements, test plans, required personnel and hardware resources, cost estimates and schedules
Present designs and promote solutions to stakeholders, providing training to operations staff and medium-sized groups
Mentor associate personnel within the Division of IT, dedicating time to training, shadowing, guiding, and reviewing work activities
Be prepared to work at the normal work location or an alternative location during a major catastrophic event, weather emergency, or other operational emergency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Four (4) years of professional experience supporting the operations, maintenance, and administration of information technology infrastructure
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to lead presentations with small to medium sized groups
Able to organize and provide direction to junior staff members
A demonstrated commitment to customer service
Provides leadership and helps bridge the gap between team manager and team members on technical topics
Ability to effectively manage workload and delivery assignments on time
Skilled in the use of office productivity software such as Office 365 or Google Workspaces
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields
Experience managing Aruba ClearPass
HPE Aruba Networking Certified Associate or Professional - Network Security certification
