Tenure-Track: Assistant Professor - Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution (Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology Program)

Texas A&M University is inviting applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, advising graduate students, developing an independent research program, and participating in departmental activities.

Qualification

Doctorate in EngineeringApplied Research ExperienceAdvanced Manufacturing SystemsCyber-Physical SystemsData-Driven OptimizationIndustry ExperienceCommunication Skills

Required

Earned doctorate in an appropriate engineering field or a closely related engineering or science discipline
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Recent and relevant practical experience in applied research and technology development in the areas of advanced manufacturing systems including design/modeling/control of manufacturing systems, cyber-physical systems, applied AI, smart manufacturing and data-driven discovery/optimization
Experience working in or with industry or government entities like national labs
