Free People is seeking a Designer of Skirts who will participate in concepting and designing monthly collections while managing an assistant to ensure technical soundness in designs. The role involves researching trends, developing creative ideas, and effectively communicating with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

Research, Ideate and Design monthly collections

Recognize and accurately forecast fashion and cultural trends and understand how they relate to the Free People customer

Develop and present creative ideas and respond to business objectives with creative, innovative, and cost-effective design solutions

Effectively use Procreate and PhotoShop for the CADing of design work and presentations

Excellent communication skills to communicate ideas and inspirations to others and to interact with Designers, Buyers and other Cross Functional partners

Ability to drape, mock/sew and sketch

Experience in Ai Design programs welcomed but not required
