The role involves conducting detailed analyses of power electronics systems, leading failure analysis, and providing feedback for design improvements.

Responsibilities
Conduct detailed analysis of Power Stack and SiC (Silicon Carbide) Stack components in high-voltage power electronics systems
Investigate performance degradation, thermal behavior, and switching anomalies
Lead structured failure analysis of returned field units, including complex issues
Utilize advanced diagnostic tools such as X-ray, SEM, thermal imaging, oscilloscopes, curve tracers, and multimeters to identify component-level failures
Analyze PCB-level faults including solder joint defects, trace damage, and component failures
Guide production and service teams on repair procedures and quality standards
Recommend design improvements based on recurring failure patterns
Provide feedback into design-for-reliability (DfR) and design-for-manufacturing (DfM) initiatives
Participate in 8D problem-solving, FMEA reviews, and reliability testing protocols
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in hardware analysis, power electronics, or reliability engineering
Strong understanding of SiC-based power systems, gate drivers, and high-voltage switching behavior
Proficiency in schematic interpretation, signal analysis, and diagnostic instrumentation
Experience with structured failure analysis methodologies (8D, FMEA, Fishbone)
Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
