Responsibilities

Provide technical oversight and leadership in integrating flight test objectives, equipment, and test assets, skills/resources, and planning T&E budgets and schedules

Interact with certification engineers to ensure all program’s operational certification standards are achieved and addressed

Must have a strong technical background, ability to read and interpret engineering design artifacts, and customer requirements

Must have the ability to communicate test procedures to a wide audience

Author test and safety plans for a variety of programs and customers

Assist in standardizing flight test planning products, and act as a mentor for new flight test engineers

Act as test director or test conductor for flight test events

Research, select, and source instrumentation components as part of a test system or unit under test

Develop and perform acceptance tests for a variety of products

Author test reports for daily events and final deliverables to customers

Follow specific tool control, FOD control, and safety guidelines and policies

Self-driven and interfaces well with teams of varied disciplines

Perform other duties as directed by supervision and management for the benefit of the company, program, or employee(s)
