Responsibilities

Provides personalized meal service to patients

Assists patients with meal selections and serves meals

Prepares food and monitors patient intakes

Clears and cleans patient dishware

Stocks pantries and ensures proper labeling, dating, and rotation of stock

Maintains accurate communication with other patient care team members

Calculates, prepares, and serves between meal feedings and nutritional supplements

Obtains current diet list of patients and maintains accurate patient diet information

Assists in the assembly of meals and serves the meal to the patient

Collects dishware following meal service and assists in clean up

May produce cold foods such as salads and sandwiches as requested

Maintains exemplary customer service at all times

Communicates any problems, concerns, or potential issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner

Assists in maintaining high level of sanitation in Food Services Department

Records and maintains all assigned documents and forms according to department procedures

Qualification

Customer service experienceFood service experienceComputer skillsCommunication skillsTeamwork skills

Required

High school diploma or equivalent GED

One (1) year of experience working directly with customers

Six (6) months experience working with computers or computerized equipment

One (1) year of experience working directly with customers, clients or patients in institutional food service or health care
